Work With Me
I help web3 founders figure out why their design isn’t working and fix it.
Most teams I work with have some version of the same problem. They’ve built something real. They have users. But growth has slowed and they can’t tell if design is the bottleneck. Their brand feels off but they can’t articulate why. Their product works but doesn’t convert like it should. They’re about to raise and know their positioning is weak.
I’ve spent 5+ years solving these exact problems. Early design hire at Polygon. 2x founder with an exit. Co-built a design tool company that hit 1.3M+ users. Worked with 10+ crypto teams on positioning, brand, identity, product, and conversion. Helped teams hit $500M+ in TVL and raise $15M+ from top-tier investors. I know what design decisions actually move metrics because I’ve been in the room when they do.
Before you reach out, make sure you've read these notes.
This space is for people who build. If you're here to spread negativity, sarcasm, or put down my work, you're not allowed here. Please leave. Find something better to do with your time. Think twice before you act. I'm not here to justify myself or defend every choice I make. I've spent years building, shipping, failing, and sharing. I almost lost everything once. I started again from nothing. I learned what matters. I don't need everyone to get it. But I do ask that you respect the work or simply move on.
How I Work
I’m not a consultant who hands you a deck and disappears. I’m a founding designer and more.
I’ve been the first and only designer at startups. Responsible for everything. Brand, product, systems, hiring, shipping. Zero to one, multiple times. I know what it’s like to build with no resources, make hard tradeoffs, and push pixels at 2am because launch is tomorrow.
This shapes how I work with founders now.
I solve messy problems. Most design problems aren’t clean briefs. They’re tangled messes of unclear positioning, inconsistent visuals, competing priorities, and teams who can’t articulate what’s wrong. I bring clarity to chaos. I cut through noise and find what actually matters.
I bring vision and remove friction. Founders hire me when they need someone who can see where things should go, not just execute what’s in front of them. I help teams stop spinning and start shipping.
I’ve done every type of design work. Product, brand, identity, systems, conversion, content, social, whatever the team needs to scale. I don’t silo myself. I go where the problem is.
I’ve built and managed teams. I’ve hired designers, built design orgs, and managed people through growth stages. I understand design leadership, not just design execution.
When you work with me, you’re getting someone who’s been in your seat. I know what founders actually need because I’ve needed it myself.
Services
Positioning Strategy
Most protocols can explain what they do. Almost none can explain why someone should choose them over alternatives.
I help you find the position you can credibly own. Not the one you wish you had. This means competitive analysis, identifying your actual differentiators, building messaging architecture your whole team can use, and pressure-testing it against real market dynamics.
You walk away knowing exactly what you are, who you’re for, and how to talk about it in ways that land.
Best for: Protocols entering crowded categories. Teams are preparing fundraising narratives. Founders who keep getting blank stares when they explain what they’re building.
Brand Design + Strategy
Your brand is either building equity or bleeding it. Most web3 brands are bleeding it through inconsistency, generic positioning, and visual choices that signal nothing.
I work on brand strategy and design together because they can’t be separated. Strategy without design is a deck that sits in a folder. Design without strategy is decoration.
This covers brand architecture, visual identity systems, and how your brand shows up across every touchpoint. Product, website, docs, social, community. You get a brand that actually means something and a system to keep it consistent as you scale.
Best for: Teams preparing for major launches or rebrands. Protocols whose visual identity doesn’t match their ambition. Founders who know their brand is holding them back.
Brand Audit
A full diagnostic before you commit to a rebrand or redesign.
I review your visual identity, messaging, product experience, and how you show up across every touchpoint. You get a detailed report with specific findings. What’s working, what’s broken, and what to prioritize. Not generic advice. Exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it.
Sometimes the audit reveals you don’t need a rebrand at all. Sometimes it reveals the problem is worse than you thought. Either way, you’ll know what you’re actually dealing with.
Best for: Teams who sense something’s off but can’t pinpoint it. Pre-fundraise teams who want to tighten up before investor conversations. Founders considering a rebrand but not sure if it’s worth it.
Product Design
Conversion-focused UX that moves metrics, not just looks good in a portfolio.
I work on the flows and interfaces that directly impact your growth. Onboarding, activation, core loops, conversion points. The goal is removing friction that kills retention and designing experiences that get users to value faster.
This isn’t about aesthetics. It’s about figuring out where users drop off and fixing it.
Best for: Teams with product-market fit who need to scale. Protocols with solid retention but weak activation. Founders who know their UX is leaving money on the table.
Founding Designer / Embedded Design Partner
Some teams don’t need a project. They need a designer who can own everything.
I embed with early-stage teams as a fractional founding designer. Owning brand, product, and systems work as if I were full-time. This is for teams who need senior design leadership but aren’t ready to hire a head of design.
I’ve done this role multiple times. I know how to operate with ambiguity, ship fast, and build the foundations that let you scale later.
Best for: Pre-seed to Series A teams without a senior designer. Founders who need someone to own design end-to-end. Teams moving fast who can’t afford to slow down for a traditional agency process.
Ongoing Advisory
Some founders don’t need a project. They need someone to call when decisions come up.
Advisory retainers give you ongoing access for brand, positioning, and design decisions as they happen. Monthly calls, async access for quick questions, and a second opinion from someone who’s seen the patterns across dozens of teams.
Think of it as fractional design leadership without the full-time commitment.
Best for: Early-stage teams without senior design leadership. Founders who want strategic input without hiring a full-time head of design. Teams between major projects who still need guidance.
Who I Work With
I don’t take every project. I’m selective because the work is better when there’s a real fit.
I work with founders who have real traction or solid product execution. Not pre-product. Founders who care about outcomes, not just aesthetics. Who are coachable and ready to make hard choices. Who think design-first and product-first. Who believe in simple, minimal, noise-free design. Who understand that design is business strategy, not decoration.
If you want someone to make things pretty without asking hard questions, I’m not your person. If you want someone who will tell you what’s actually broken and help you fix it, we should talk.
How This Works
1. You reach out. Email me at hi@dragoon.xyz with what you’re building, where you’re at (users, revenue, stage), what you think the problem is, and why you think I’m the right person.
2. We talk. If it looks like a fit on paper, we get on a call. I’ll ask questions. You’ll ask questions. We’ll figure out if working together makes sense.
3. I send a proposal. If we’re aligned, I’ll scope the work and send a proposal within a few days. Clear deliverables, timeline, and investment.
4. We get to work. I work directly with founders and decision-makers. No layers. No account managers. You get my attention and my honest perspective throughout.
What You’re Not Getting
I don’t do “pick your brain” calls. I don’t do free consulting disguised as synergy conversations. I don’t hop on Zoom to explore opportunities with people who aren’t serious.
If you want advice, read The Protocol. I put everything I know into it. If you want to work together, email me with specifics.
This isn’t gatekeeping. It’s respect for both our time.

Subscribe to The Protocol. I publish weekly breakdowns of what actually works in web3 design. The patterns, the positioning choices, the decisions that separate protocols that scale from ones that plateau.
